Hi Adventurers!
It’s now the end of the challenge and it’s time to look back on this journey. Consistency has never been my friend and this one was no exception. After the novelty disappeared at the end of the first week, I found it really hard to even take 15 minutes out of my day to do those ab exercises. Whether it was because I genuinely dislike ab workouts or it was because I am that lazy…I’m uncertain. I don’t think I’m incapable of doing challenges like these, but I do think that perhaps repetitive exercises without changing it up is most likely not my cup of tea.
Don’t get me wrong! If I somehow forced myself (ie. through a PT etc), I’m sure I could do it but I’m really looking for the motivation to come from myself. I think that I would benefit a lot more from a workout regime that changes daily and revolves around a few more things than just abs. Perhaps something like the below:-
Monday
30 Minutes Cardio and 20 reps x alternate arm weights
Tuesday
1 hour Pilates session
Wednesday
40 reps x variety abs exercises
Thursday
Dance class of choice
Friday
30 Minutes Cardio and 30 reps x ab exercises
Saturday
1 hour Yoga session
Sunday
Day off
The above looks really ambitious to be honest, but I’m feeling a lot more inclined to follow it because it changes it up and incorporates things that I really enjoy but still makes you sweat (ie. Pilates/Dance). So because of that, my next work-out challenge will be the above (or a variation of)! My goal wasn’t to smash the ab challenge and magically have a 6-pack…though that would be nice. It was to find out what I really wanted in a fitness lifestyle. I’m hoping this will be a good step towards that direction.
Now that’s all said and done, I’ve also vlogged this experience because why not! Have fun watching and if you’ve made it this far in the blog – THANK YOU!!! If anyone has any tips on how to make a workout lifestyle not overly repetitive, I am all ears!

Yay !!! Omg go you for doing 120 reps
Thanks girl!! I honestly almost died doing them but now I know I’m actually capable haha (sort of)
